In Need of a living donor

Waiting for a Hero

Are you in need of a living donor? We're here to help you on your search.

1. Join the 1+1=LIFE Mentorship Program to get connected with our network of national organ transplant Mentors. Your peer Mentor is an excellent listener and understands exactly what you’re going through. Our Mentors are all donors, recipients, and caretakers themselves. We can pair you with a volunteer who can help create effective strategies to find your living donor.  Even though this program is new, our Mentors have already helped 9 Mentees get living donors.

2. Create an online personal campaign through the American Transplant Foundation. Once you are a part of the Mentorship Program we will email you with a link to begin creating your campaign.

3. Share your campaign via letters, social media, email, local bulletin boards, and online communities. Your mentor may also help you spread the word!

4. Fundraise for the American Transplant Foundation. Not only does your personal page help spread the word for you to find a living donor, your friends and family may also donate to the American Transplant Foundation through your page. These donations support the Mentorship Program and our grant program for vulnerable transplant patients, called the Patient Assistance Program

Our goal is for potential living donors to be inspired by each of your stories. The American Transplant Foundation strives to help patients like you find a living donor and get your health back so you can enjoy life to its fullest.
